Woodlea Junior School in Leyland is the latest school to join the Endeavour Learning Trust as the family of schools across Lancashire and the Northwest continues to grow.

The trust, which has now grown to 10 schools, will welcome Woodlea officially from the 1st December.

Woodlea, which was rated as ‘Good’ by Ofsted in its last inspection, believes that children flourish when school and parents work in partnership and strongly encourage this.

The school has a team of dedicated staff, who strive to give every child the very best start in life; personally, socially and academically.

By joining the Endeavour Learning Trust, Woodlea will gain access to a wider range of expertise, as well as continued professional development for its staff.

It also joins a family of schools who support each other, including in fundraising and community initiatives.

David Clayton, CEO of the Endeavour Learning Trust, commented:

“We’re very pleased to welcome Woodlea into our family of schools as we look to bring the Endeavour vision to another local school. “We’re a trust who is proud of our local area, our positive impact, and our resources and expertise.

“Woodlea is already an excellent school, and I look forward to working with Jillian and all the staff there to help take it from strength to strength.”

Jillian Shorrocks, headteacher at Woodlea Junior School, said:

“To join a family of schools like Endeavour, where we can share resources and expertise, and increase our impact for our pupils, is an important moment for Woodlea.

“This new chapter for our school will help us achieve our goals even faster as we work with our partners at Endeavour to ensure all our pupils flourish”.
