Tarleton Academy
Tarleton Academy is readily accessible to the community through the use of our facilities. There are 8 facilities across the school site that are available to hire 7 days a week. The venues are overseen by the Endeavour Community team to ensure their smooth operation, cleanliness and readiness for all users.
The school site is a hive of activity after the school day finishes at 3:15pm right through to 9:30pm, with clubs booked in to facilities and parents and children arriving for their evening classes.

At Tarleton Academy, we have a brand new 20-metre swimming pool for school and community use (as of April 2023). The pool is 0.9m at the shallow end, sloping to 2m at the deep end. Our old swimming pool provided great benefits to the school and community over many years and we look forward to welcoming the community to the new pool over the years to come
The swimming pool has separate male, female and accessible changing facilities.
We aim to make the swimming pool accessible to the community as possible, offering convenient times for community users to make use of the facility. We provide regular lane swimming slots over the course of the week and public swimming opportunities at the weekend for families and groups of friends. These sessions are staffed by NPLQ qualified Lifeguards from the Tarleton Academy Community team.
Tarleton Academy has a multi-purpose sports hall for community use. Completed in 2004, the facility has regular bookings 7 days a week for community groups and individuals and is home to the school's PE department.
A 594 sq. ft. sports facility, the hall is capable of hosting a wide variety of sports and contains:
- Full sized 5-a-side indoor pitch with goals
- Full sized basketball court
- 8 additional basketball hoops
- 4 full sized badminton courts
- 1 full sized netball court
- 2 cricket nets
- Ample room for martial arts, dance, yoga etc
- Sports equipment for community use including trampolines x 2
The sports hall contains male and female changing and toilet facilities and an additional disabled toilet. The facility is open to the general public for casual and block bookings. Specially designed for a variety of sports, the hall is currently used by a number of local clubs including football, badminton and cricket.
Tarleton Academy's School Hall hosts community groups in the evenings and at weekends. Complete with retractable seating, the hall is available to hire for a variety of uses, including meetings, plays and productions, yoga and dance. It is also in regular use during the school day for drama lessons and assemblies.
The flexible dance/drama studio makes it the perfect space to hire for a variety of small classes. It is used by local dance, drama clubs and organisations for practice and rehearsals. The space is also suitable for those looking to hire a small studio for aerobics or yoga.
