What inspired you to train as a teacher?
I always knew I wanted to work with young people and when combined with my love of Biology this seemed like the perfect job.
Why did you choose Endeavour for your teacher training?
I applied for a days experience in a school on the 'get into teaching' website. This gave me a day within an Endeavour school and from that first day I knew that not only did I definitely want to be a teacher but I definitely wanted to be a teacher within Endeavour Learning Trust. I felt fully supported and welcomed from day one. I was determined to be accepted onto the trust's SCITT course.
What was the best thing about the programme?
I was given the opportunity to see some amazing guest speakers who really helped me develop as a teacher.
What impact has the SCITT had on your career as a teacher?
The SCITT course has had a massive impact on my career. The course helped me become a teacher who is always eager to improve on my own practice. I will continue to keep up to date with current research on innovative ways to develop teaching and learning throughout my career.
