We are delighted to announce that Endeavour Learning Trust has been shortlisted for the Most Inspirational Multi Academy Trust category at the Educate Awards.
This recognition reflects our ongoing commitment to academic excellence and community impact. At Endeavour, we have a strong track record of transforming schools—many of which were previously rated as ‘Inadequate’ by Ofsted—into thriving centers of learning. Our secondary schools consistently help students make significant progress, while our primary schools focus on fostering strong development in younger children, ensuring they receive the best possible start.
At the heart of our trust is a culture of collaboration that extends beyond the classroom, benefiting children and young people across the North West, whether they are part of an Endeavour school or simply live in the area. Our Endeavour Community initiative plays a pivotal role in this, offering enriching activities and support to the wider community. Through free holiday and breakfast clubs, family swimming, bike-riding lessons, performing arts groups, meditation sessions, and adult learning opportunities, we aim to make a positive difference in the lives of everyone in our local areas.
Our four secondary schools serve as community hubs, remaining open 51 weeks a year to provide access to sporting and performing arts activities. Through our involvement in the government’s Holiday Activity Food Initiative, we reach over 1,000 young people every holiday period, offering free meals and activities for children aged 5-16. Additionally, our schools provide swimming lessons for 400 children and adults and promote safe cycling through the Bikeability programme, which reaches both local and more distant communities. In the 2022/23 academic year alone, Endeavour Community organized 129 district-wide sporting competitions, events, and festivals across primary, secondary, and special schools.
We are deeply committed to inclusion, ensuring that every child receives the support they need to succeed, regardless of their additional needs. Our dedication to creating a culture of belonging has not only improved outcomes within our trust but also reduced the need for children to seek external support. Endeavour staff further extend their expertise by working with local authorities and neighboring schools to safeguard and support young people, creating safe and nurturing environments beyond our own schools.
The Educate Awards are the largest and most prestigious education awards in the North West, celebrating the achievements of the finest schools, colleges, and educators across Merseyside, Cheshire, Lancashire, and Greater Manchester. We are honored to be part of this celebration, which recognizes those who go above and beyond to provide exceptional experiences for young people.
David Clayton, Chief Executive at Endeavour Learning Trust, said:
“We are all thrilled to be shortlisted for the most inspirational trust category in these fantastic awards. Just to be shortlisted is incredible and really shows we are succeeding in our mission to combine transformative education and community support. I want every Endeavour school to be the heartbeat of its local community, and I have no doubt that we are well on the way to making this happen.
“Everyone at Endeavour is passionate about making sure every child receives the best possible education, no matter their background or specific challenges, and inclusion is at the heart of all that we do. I am especially pleased that this was recognised by the Educate Awards as it really is our North Star.
“I know we are up against some schools who are doing truly wonderful things for their children so competition will undoubtedly be stiff, but I’m hopeful that our fantastic team will have their hard work rewarded at the awards ceremony. I am so proud of all the hard-working staff and children across our trust, and I look forward to celebrating this achievement with them.”
