What inspired you to become a teacher?
I have been teaching since age 18 in a sports related background, and after my degree in Biology took a different path in running a business. When my circumstances changed and I started to try to decide what to do next I knew I would regret it if I didn't look into teaching science.
Why did you choose Endeavour for your teacher training?
I had researched and decided I would prefer a more hands on school based course. I came in for a look around and just the friendly feel and support on offer made it an attractive offer.
What was the best thing about the programme?
Working with lots of different learners and classes and feeling like I am part of a team.
What impact has the SCITT had on your career as a teacher?
I feel the standards have been set high and I feel prepared to teach and try anything. The course has helped me become a teacher who is always keen to improve practice and try new things.

What advice would you give to prospective trainee teachers?
Don't be afraid to try new things in the classroom - some will work, some definitely wont, but you will learn more this way.
