What inspired you to train as a teacher?

After completing my degree, I was working in a managerial role - a role that didn't offer what I wanted for my career. I missed discussing Literature and researching new information. I wanted to be in a role where I felt that I could benefit others and make a difference. I was inspired by the thought of being in a role that would allow me to instill a love of my subject.

Why did you choose Endeavour for your teacher training?

I came to Endeavour Trust to complete experience, allowing me to apply for the SCITT programme and it was most definitely the place I wanted to train at. Endeavour has always been welcoming and positive and really nurtured my interest in teaching from the start.

What was the best thing about the programme?

Working with professional people on a day to day basis, who were confident and enthusiastic about their subject and the children they teach. The CPD offered on the SCITT programme was relevant and supported and strengthened my teaching.

Describe your time on the SCITT in three words.

Challenging, Motivational, Positive.

What advice would you give to prospective trainee teachers?

To put everything into your SCITT and truly enjoy it. Take each day as it comes and appreciate your role as a teacher. Congratulate yourself every day - it's too easy to judge yourself. Be reflective.
